How does it work?
Gentle light and electric energies combine to damage the hair follicle. This disables the follicle from
growing hair, which means that gradually over several treatments, there is a long-term reduction in the
amount of hair in that area.

What kind of results can be expected?
Each treatment will result in less hair coming back, as well as hair growing progressively lighter in color,
becoming finer and also slowing regrowth. It takes more than one treatment to affect all the follicles
growing in an area. Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 4-8 treatments, however, individual
results vary depending on medical and genetic factors. Lighter colored hair may require more treatments
than darker colored hair.

How frequently?
Most people achieve satisfactory clearance after 4-8 treatments, which are usually performed every 1-2
months. This depends on individual factors that the practitioner will discuss during consultation.

How does does it all feel?
The sensation is often described as a ‘hot pinch’ or ‘snapping’ feeling. The sensation only lasts for a
fraction of a second and warmth and/or a tingling sensation is experienced for a short time afterward. The
ELOS system also has a built in cooler at the head (point of contact) which will significantly increase
comfort levels during the procedure.

What happens after?
Temporary pinkness in the skin lasts a very short time and most people return to work or normal activities
immediately after treatment. The treated area will ‘shed’ some hairs over the next 3-4 weeks and there
may be a short period of irregular hairlessness in the area until the conclusion of the course.
